White Stripes Mix
I've had a few weeks now to digest the White Stripes' latest, "Get Behind Me Satan," and I think it's a very good album. Certainly not their best; "White Blood Cells" and "Elephant"--in that order--share that honor. But it is very good: it has such a laid back, easy quality to it, that I don't mind that it is somewhat half-formed.
But the more important question is: What does this do to my "Ultimate White Stripes Mix"? Satan has a few contributions (how crazy a clause is that?), but the rest of their catalogue still dominates. So, since I love to make mixed CDs and tell everyone about it (could there be a more perfect use for a blog?), here's what I take to be the best 80-minutes the White Stripes' catalogue currently has to offer:
UPDATE: What the hell? Blogger ate the track numbers. So imagine this list in sequence, because that's what I burned for my car...

I am going to have to disagree with you on this one and say White Blood Cells ... Get Behind me Satan ... Destijl ... and Elephant as the order of Best White Stripes albums ... and I think "I Think I Smell a Rat" was your biggest omission, simple yet loud and awesome.
